- Office and Administration Co-ordinator
This position would especially suit a graduate who is looking to experience a stimulating and varied office administration role. During your working day you will be exposed to a number of different departments (sales, marketing, PR, copywriting, accounts and technical support), potentially giving you scope in the future to develop your UKFast career from office co-ordinator into one of these areas.
As Office and Administration Coordinator your role will involve meeting and greeting clients, organising and preparing meeting rooms, answering and transferring calls, and general admin support. This is a very important role; you will be heavily relied upon to ensure that all clients receive a highly professional and polished service, whilst maintaining the friendly, open company image. You will essentially help the smooth running of the office and will be an integral cog in the UKFast wheel!
In this role you will:
- Meet and greet all visitors and advise host of visitor arrivals
- Act as point of contact for internal/ external telephone queries
- Effectively build and maintain professional relations with both internal and external contacts
- Liaise with staff and management
- Keep reception and office tidy and presentable
- Ensure all fax machines and photocopiers are supplied with paper and refilled when necessary
- Assist with the copying and binding of company documents when required
- Assist with filing, faxing and organisation of correspondence
- Assist with general administration duties
- Order office supplies
You will be a punctual and reliable team player with a confident telephone manner. As Office and Administration Coordinator you must have the ability to multi-task and work in a high paced environment whilst adopting a flexible and proactive approach to your work.
It is essential you are IT literate with proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Email. Your written and verbal communication skills must be to an excellent standard.

- Technical Support Engineer - Linux and Windows
We are looking for candidates to fill our customer focused support roles. You must have Linux or Windows system administration in a networking environment DNS theory (minimum). The role involves telephone/email technical support, pre-sales technical assistance, server setup/configuration and support and new solutions provisions and troubleshooting. The position works on a rota system to assist clients out of hours.
Linux engineer:
Experience in Apache 1.x/2.x, RedHat/Fedora, PHP 4.x/5.x and MySQL 4.x/5.x. is essential. Working knowledge of PostgreSQL 7.x/8.x, Qmail,DNS/Bind is advantageous.
Windows Engineer
Experience in IIS 5/6, SQL 2000/05 and Windows Server 2000/03 is essential. Working knowledge of Exchange 2000/03 is advantageous.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and bright candidate with a can-do approach, team player with the ability to multi task and prioritise is essential, as is the ability to work on your own initiative. Being passionate about technology is valuable.

Data Centre Support
This role will be for a person with good hardware experience of desktop PC's and with a good base knowledge of varying OS'
Experience of building pc's/replacing hardware is a must. The candidate will be providing hands-on support at our data centre performing reboot requests/hardware upgrades/hardware replacements/hardware installation. Basic OS skills are required to be able to assist engineers in diagnosing faults remotely.
The candidate will also perform general house keeping duties in the data centre which includes tidying/re-stocking/etc. The role is on a rota system which will mean working 8pm at night through till 8am the next morning for 2 nights, then 2 day shifts on a rota basis.
The candidate will require good people skills (staff and customers), the ability to work under pressure, ability to work in a team and solo, good hardware knowledge and experience.

PR executive/copywriter
At UKFast we're looking for a hard working, organised individual with a flair for PR, who can write in a number of styles, for any given audience.
You'll be adept at researching different markets and able to offer your media contacts interesting and well crafted material.
As a PR executive/copywriter, you'll relish the challenge of building relationships with journalists. We're relying on you to find out what journalists want and the way they work in order to get maximum press coverage for our company and our clients.
Part of the copywriting role is to write press releases, website text, advertisements, online, offline, B2B, B2C, long copy, short copy, sales or informational copy.
Additionally, we require the successful candidate to be able to organise events such as Sale Sharks and Airwaves sponsorship dinners, talks, and to set up a networking group.
Desirable skills:
- Have an interest in film and video making
- Agency experience
- Event management experience
- Interest/ knowledge of online PR
Experience of PR, online marketing activity and an understanding of the internet in general is desirable but most importantly we require an individual who is willing to work hard at something they enjoy.

At UKFast we're looking for someone whose primary language is PHP. A hard working, organised individual with a flair for web development.
UKFast really has gone from strength to strength this year and is expanding very quickly. We're currently taking on more new clients than ever before, so we're seeking to increase our Research and Development team by welcoming several new PHP programmers. The new programmers' primary role will be to design applications for ourselves and our clients.
