Airwaves-Ducati
History
In 1986, a friend persuaded Darrell Healey to attend a motorbike race meeting at Brands Hatch and he was instantly hooked on the high-octane, adrenalin fuelled, and exciting action on the track. Over the next two decades, Darrell’s involvement in Superbikes grew as he oversaw the emergence of the GSE Racing Team and turned many people’s dreams into reality.
After a number of intense but encouraging winter tests, the Airwaves Ducati team was officially launched in March 2005 with riders Leon Haslam and Gregorio Lavilla. The team finished their first year back in competition with a dominant display at Brands Hatch and Gregorio Lavilla was crowned British Superbike Champion 2005.
Background
For the new season Airwaves-Ducati wanted a site that would reflect their winning performance and began looking for a dedicated UK based ISP that could add value to the team online.
After seeing the success of another sporting team online, the Sale Sharks, their attention focussed on UKFast. Both brands represent premium performance, ultimate reliability and an industry benchmark for achievement. UKFast was deemed a natural fit.
This winning fusion ensured Airwaves-Ducati transferred their hosting to UKFast in December 2005.
