In 1999, UKFast began offering bespoke solutions to companies hungering for a dynamic internet presence. With customer focus and home-grown expertise, the company quickly adapted to a new era of innovation.
Great success as a Nominet Registrar allowed UKFast to invest in its own research and development projects and an ability to predict market demand became a speciality.
R and D projects gave birth to the reseller model of hosting, which suited UKFast’s berth of web design clients, enabling them to become second level web hosts themselves.
When the broadband market took off, UKFast made a decision to grow in line with its clients instead of becoming a blanket ADSL supplier. MD Lawrence Jones realised that a total focus on Internet connections would mean growing as a company literally overnight, which inevitably would sacrifice customer service.
As a business-to-business supplier, hosting services were a more satisfying provision. So UKFast went against the popular trend by placing emphasis on web and email services, making internet connection a companion service.

The UKFast online control panel now integrates customer accounts, enables resellers to pay invoices online, view their accounts or make modifications to their existing server packages.
As a customer, you have as much or as little control as you want. If you desire, you can pretty much host yourself or alternatively have your solutions monitored 24/7.

In tandem with its solutions, UKFast has built its network year on year. Today we are one of the fastest internet access providers in the UK and our clients reside on a network in the UK’s top ten for both availability and uptime.
UKFast continues to grow with a firm eye on its clients. Late 2004 saw new staff in the areas of Marketing and PR. The 2005 saw an expansion of the accounts team, as well as doubling the research and development department.
In 2007, the company’s staff numbers hit 50 and it continues to grow. In 2008, UKFast aims to double the amount of employees, reaching the 100 mark by the end of the year.
