The ASA includes an integrated 4-port Fast Ethernet (10/100) switch and a Fast Ethernet (10/100) interface. Site Maintenance Holding Page
Whilst we have built a robust, resilient network aimed at providing all customers with 100% uptime, we know that hardware failure is inevitable. To reduce the effect of your dedicated server being offline, customers taking the Total Cover Plus option receive a site maintenance holding page. This uses IP addresses to redirect your traffic to a page hosted on a server on a separate part of the network.
A typical page tells visitors that the site is currently undergoing maintenance and provides your contact information. We provide a generic page for this purpose or you can provide a page of your own design for us to host.
CTmonitoring
Optimum server performance is crucial for the success of your online business. CTmonitoring allows you to track every aspect of your dedicated server from bandwidth consumption to disk utilisation, all from one easy to use interface.
With customisable SMS and email notifications, both you and the UKFast technical support team can be notified immediately should a pre-defined threshold be reached. This unique software also gives you the ability to pin-point mission critical issues on your hosting environment in real-time, whilst also being able to track resource trends using historical graphing.
Server maintenance
This service includes full software updates and patching. Once the relevant patches have been released and we have received notification, we install the patches to ensure the updates are installed correctly and without problem. Once a patch has been installed, it is usual for the server that the patch has been installed onto to need a reboot. We will contact the client with regard to the timing of the reboot to ensure this causes minimum amount of downtime and inconvenience.
